Good mate Shannon attempting Flags on the West Coast

4X4 Monthly NZ is about providing an entertaining and informative web series to its followers.

Informative : To help educate everyone on where to go, what to expect, how to drive off-road and how to modify your vehicle, all on a budget. The overland scene in NZ is exploding and a lot of people are new to the 4WD lifestyle. We aim to be a place to learn and inspire.

Entertaining : We love an awesome technical challenge, a rock wall, a mud bog, a deep crossing or a steep hill. We love the tough stuff just as much as the easy stuff. Along side being informative to our followers we also want to entertain. Life is about enjoyment and having a laugh. Sharing a smile on tour or congratulating your buddy on an epic drive are great ways to explore NZ.

We all have an inner child.

Our Team

  • Jonathan Hitchcox

I grew up camping, tramping, road-tripping and adventuring with a family of 6 and an Irish-Wolfhound. It was a great up-bringing and I learnt a lot about NZ’s landscapes, terrains and a huge respect for the bush. My love for 4 Wheel Driving started well before I could drive with many, many issues of Australian 4WD Action. I remember thinking Roothy had the best job in the world and I wanted to have a similar life. 15 years later I decided to have a crack at building the life I wanted, there started 4X4 Monthly NZ.

Our Future

We want to grow Lost Sheep Adventures into a full-time endeavor.

Every day we are getting closer to leaving behind our jobs and engaging with our community full time. We are aiming to be making weekly content that will help and inspire more and more people to explore New Zealand.
